The LOLA Reset (10 minutes)

Reduce Resistance. Get Back in Flow.

This is a Practical Reset to Help You Get Unstuck.

Set a Timer for 10 Minutes. Pick One Specific Area where You Feel Stuck.

  • Work/career

  • Relationship

  • Money

  • Health/energy

  • Confidence/direction

  • A decision you’ve been avoiding

Prefer paper? Grab a notebook. Prefer digital? Use your phone's Notes app.

In the Next 10 Minutes, You’ll:

  • See what’s happening clearly so you can separate the facts from the story you’ve been living in

  • Shift the meaning in a way that reduces resistance

  • Walk away with a simple next step you can take today

Step 1 — Clearly Define Your Stuck Area (30 seconds)

Write one sentence.

My stuck Area is:

———————————————————————

Examples:

  • “Work: I feel stalled.”

  • “Relationship: It feels distant lately.”

  • “Self: I keep procrastinating and judging myself.”

Step 2 — Write Your Current Story (2 minutes)

Write fast. No editing. The goal is to catch what you’ve been carrying.

1. This is what’s happening:

———————————————————

2. This is what it means:

———————————————————

3. So I feel:

———————————————————

Example (Work):

  1. “I’m not getting promoted.”

  2. “It means I’m falling behind and wasting time.”

  3. “I feel frustration and pressure at the same time.”

Example (Relationship):

  1. “We don’t talk like we used to.”

  2. “It means we’re drifting apart, and it won’t work out.”

  3. “I feel tense and sad.”

Note: The “it means” line is usually where resistance lives.

Step 3 — Separate Facts from Story (2 minutes)

Split what’s going on into two parts.

1. FACTS (observable/verifiable)
What would a neutral observer agree happened?

  • —————————————————————

  • —————————————————————

  • —————————————————————

2. STORY (your interpretation/meaning)
What are you adding on top of the facts?

  • —————————————————————

  • —————————————————————

  • —————————————————————

Example (Work):
FACTS

  • “I’ve been in the same role for 18 months.”

  • “I applied to 2 roles and didn’t get them.”

  • “My manager hasn’t mentioned a promotion.”

STORY

  • “I’m stuck.”

  • “They don’t value me.”

  • “I’m missing out on opportunities.”

Step 4 — Choose a Different Way to Think about it (3 minutes)

This isn’t “positive thinking.” It’s choosing an interpretation that is lighter and more useful, so resistance drops and flow returns.

1. What’s another interpretation that could also be true?

———————————————————————

2. If that were true, how would I feel?

———————————————————————

3. What would I stop doing immediately?

———————————————————————

Example (Work):

1. “This isn’t a dead end. It’s a signal: I need clarity around what I really want and voice it. I can influence the next move.”

2. “Less frustrated and scared that I missed an opportunity.”

3. “Stop wasting time comparing myself to others and putting myself down.”

Step 5 — Reduce Resistance (1 minute)

Complete this sentence:

“I can let go of needing ___________ in order to be okay right now.”

Examples:

  • certainty

  • control

  • instant results

  • someone else’s approval

  • a perfect plan

Step 6 — Your Next Step (1 minute)

Step into your change with something that is empowering and doable and feels like true agency, not like punishment. Hold yourself accountable.

My next step (today) is:

———————————————————

Examples (Work):

  • “Schedule a 20-minute career conversation with my manager.”

  • “Write one paragraph on what I want next and why.”

  • “Apply to one role today. Just one.”

Examples (Relationship):

  • “Say one honest sentence: ‘I miss us.”

  • “Plan 30 minutes together with phones away.”

  • “Do one kind action without keeping score.”

If it feels too hard, shrink it.

Close (30 seconds)

Take one breath and read this sentence:

“The world is what I think it is.”

To help you get a sense of just how powerful this is, try replacing the word “world” with the area you feel stuck:

“My job is what I think of it.”

“My boss is what I think of him. “

“My wife is what I think of her. “

“My children are what I think of them.”

Final line:
How does this make you feel? If you feel even 5% more lighter, the reset worked.

You’re not at the mercy of the world.
You’re at the mercy of the meaning you give it.

Change the meaning → change your world.

That is power.
